Typical Section

With the final design and Civil 3D model of the intersection done, the team moved to designing the layers of the roadways and a cross section of the roadway for the poster presentation. The layers of the roadway were tested using the structural number equation. The layers used were as followed, 2 inches of hot mixed asphault, 4 inches of aggregate bituminous, and 10 inches of crushed stone. The drawing also includes lane widths, bike lane widths, and sidewalk widths.
